The KESHER Community has been deeply affected by recent events related to the Hurricane that has devastated regions of our country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have been affected, and in an effort to provide some assistance and support we would like to offer to you KSOURCE: KESHER Responds to Katrina.

This resource serves as a comprehensive guide to relief efforts, and provides you with action items as well as resources for use in your local community. We encourage you to share KSOURCE with your campus, your community, your friends and family, and others that might benefit from these resources. You will find message boards for communicating with friends, as well as a blog of relief efforts on this site. We encourage you to share your thoughts and actions you are taking.

CONTACTING FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Locating and contacting those who have been displaced by Katrina and those from affected communities who may be away at school is of primary concern to KESHER. In an effort to not duplicate efforts of other organizations, we would like to provide you with information about what Hillel and the URJ are doing to collect this information.

RELIEF EFFORTS
Please consider lending your time and energy to some of the relief efforts listed below. We have gathered information on a wide range of responses, and a large number of ways to get involved, and hope that you will share this information with your network of friends and family in an effort to provide support and needed resources for those in need.

WORSHIP RESOURCES ON HURRICANE KATRINA
As you plan Shabbat services or other memorial gathers, please consider including some of the hurricane-related prayers and readings that have been created by the Jewish community.

KESHER Convention 2005 in Houston and the High Holy Days
